Rowena Price (Halle Berry), is a reporter who goes undercover to solve the murder of her childhood friend, Grace, with the help of her co-worker and friend Miles (Giovanni Ribisi). She suspects the murder was committed by Harrison Hill (Bruce Willis), a wealthy businessman with a chequered past.

Beginning on February 7, 2007, NEED2NO413^[1], a user on YouTube began uploading mini-movie clips as a drama series. All the movie clips feature actress Paula Miranda.

The characters of Grace [1], Josie the personal assistant [2], and Mrs. Hill [3] all have blogs dating back to September or October 2006 with YouTube videos of the respective actresses, in character, speaking the text of the entry with minor changes. This is a relatively new form of viral marketing similar to an alternate reality game, and has convinced at least a few commenters that the blogs are real despite the fact that the movie's official site is linked in the last entries of all three blogs.
